BA and Fda Camber Sands location drawing trip.

We drew in various places around Romney Marsh, East Sussex for three days to research the story of 'Dr Syn, a smuggler tale of Romney Marsh' by Russell Thorndyke.
Then using that research we constructed two atmospheric sets in the theatre space of 'The School creative centre' in Rye. The students showed amazing ingenuity with paper and sticks.
Actor/Models Robin George and Lydia Spearink were transformed into phantasmagoric manifestations of characters from the story and posed with great drama and versatility.
We were joined by a group from Hastings Xtrax youth centre who made their own excellent costumes, they added to the process fantastically by posing with the professional models so we had a much bigger cast than expected.
